USS Tang commissioned

74 years ago today, on 25 October 1951, Tang-class submarine USS Tang (SS-563) was commissioned, Commander Enders P. Huey in command. She was transferred to Turkey as TCG Pirireis (S-343) on 8 February 1980, and is now a museum ship in Izmir, Turkey.
