TCG Hizirreis (S342) decommissioned
41 years ago today, on 30 September 1983,Tang-class submarine USS Gudgeon (SS-567) was decommissioned. She was transferred and commissioned into the Turkish Navy that same day as TCG Hizirreis (S342)
Now a museum ship in Izmit, Turkey.
