Velos decommissioned

On February 26 1991, Greek Fletcher-class destroyer 'Velos' D-16 was decommissioned and became a museum ship, now anchored in the Naval Tradition Park at Palaio Faliro near Athens. She was built as the USS Charette (DD-581), decommissioned on 15 January 1947, and transferred to the Hellenic Navy on 16 June 1959.
