On 11 March 1963, PC-1638-class submarine chaser USS PC-1640 was laid down by Gunderson Brothers Corp. Portland, OR
She was transferred to Turkey on 18 July 1965 at San Diego, CA as TCP Yarhisar (P-113)
Now a MuseumShip at the Gölcük Naval Base, Kocaeli, Turkey

USCGC Lilac sold to Pegasus Project

On 11 March 2003, USCGC Lilac (WAGL-227) was bought from a private owner by the non-profit Tug PEGASUS Preservation Project based in New York City, with the intent to transfer ownership to the the newly created Steamer Lilac Project, which happened on January 1st 2004.
