Velos (D16) arrives at Naval Tradition Park
On 26 June 2002, Greek Velos (D16) , former Fletcher-class destroyer USS Charette (DD-581), anchors in the Naval Tradition Park at Palaio Faliro near Athens. Velos is regarded as still in commission.
