USS Thornback (SS-418) decommissioned
80 years ago today, on 6 April 1946 Tench-class submarine USS Thornback (SS-418), later Turkish TCG Uluçalireis (S 338), was decommissioned at New London.
Now a MuseumShip at Rahmi M. Koç Müzesi, Istanbul, Turkey.
